Interested in selling more wine? The LWA is teaming up with Fortessa to connect LWA member wineries with restaurants and distributors. This is an opportunity to showcase your wines with area restaurants interested in carrying more local wines. Restaurants will be encouraged to purchase wines at the event.
Owners, Winemakers, Winegrowers, Vineyard Managers & Cellar Masters in Loudoun County are welcome to join us for our fourth annual Winemaker Forum where we will be tasting and discussing the wines submitted to the Loudoun Wine Awards this year.
This educational event will feature multiple wine flights that exhibit themes showcased during the competition. Our competition director, Neal Wavra, will lead the discussion of various aspects of Loudoun wines. The Forum will be followed by the Quarterly Loudoun Wineries Association meeting and a cocktail reception.
Join participating LWA member wineries for the Summer of Love and Kindness. During the month of July, visit some of your favorite wineries and enter for a chance to win a fun and immersive winery experience. Raffle tickets are $5 and available for purchase in participating winery tasting rooms. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Harvest Kindness, which supports those in need in our local wine growing and agricultural community.
We will take a look at two vineyard sites and taste wines from each. Growers will speak to site characteristics, challenges, and highlights. Winemakers will pour their wine from each site and talk about how the site impacts the style of wine making. Bring your questions and some sunscreen!
